I am an artist and writer living in Surrey, United Kingdom. My work is in private collections around the world.
Chance, improvisation, fleeting moments, seeing things within layers, finding the unexpected - these are all things that matter to me as I make work each day. I experiment, keep sketchbooks and scrapbooks of ideas, learning through experience.
Most recently I have felt a need to move forward and challenge myself to make work that I wholeheartedly enjoy - I am working toward this.
My earlier work involved textiles and I continue to explore ideas with stitch, as and when new projects come about.
My main daily focus is making visual work yet I still find time to write. My poems have appeared in a variety of journals and anthologies over the years. Most recently I have had poems in The Rialto, the UK's 'best publication'. I received an Eric Gregory award from the Society of Authors in 1996.
